Altar Guild
Members of the Altar Guild spend about one hour preparing before services and about 15-20 minutes of take down time afterwards. Twice a year the Guild does a thorough cleaning of the altar, narthex and worship area. We also polish all the brass and silver at that time. Participating in this ministry is a wonderful way to further enhance your faith. If interested, contact Janice Seldon.
Prayer Chain
The Prayer Chain focuses prayers for those in an emergent or crisis situation. It is structured in “chains” of lay ministers, each consisting of approximately 4-6 households. When a prayer request is made, usually Rev. Toni or Mae Williams will activate each team by calling the first person on each list with the information. The people she calls will pray and then call and pass the request to the next person on their list, and so forth. This way, a number of people are praying simultaneously for someone in need. The chain information comes in a booklet with instructions and suggested prayers for most occasions.

Eucharistic Ministers and Visitors
The Master of Ceremonies at each service prepares the area prior to the service by such activities as candle lighting, turning on microphones etc. During the service, he/she is joined by the acolyte for the day and together they engage in such activities as leading the Gospel procession, serving the bread and wine to the deacon, ringing the sanctus bells, and assisting with serving communion. Both positions require a training period for this very vital ministry.
Eucharistic Visitors take communion to members of the community who are unable to join us on Sunday mornings. They also assist with the sharing of the chalice during the Sunday morning Eucharist.
