Annual Events

Soul Food Sunday Please join us for the last Sunday in February for a potlock soul food feast!

Neighborhood gatherings Located in the heart of north Omaha, Church of the Resurrection takes every opportunity to bring the community together with love, prayer, and fun. We frequently engage in ecumenical worship with neighboring congregations, and every year in the late summer or early fall we have our annual block party!

Halloween on the Boolevard On Halloween, the Minne Lusa neighborhood blocks off a street and sets up decorated booths for trick-or-treaters. Families wander down one side of the street where houses are decked with cemeteries, ghosts, and witches, wind through the median, and finish their tour down the other side of houses. If you’re a trick-or-treater, it’s an efficient way to get loads of candy. If you’re a grown-up, it’s heaps of fun.

AARP tax preparation In Omaha AARP offers free tax preparation for those not able to afford an accountant. AARP now partners with CoR to offer services right from our church!. AARP members come to CoR from February to April, three days a week from about 9:00 – 2:00 to provide basic tax preparation at no cost. No proof of income is required.
